A MUSIC shop in Reading is seeking local musicians to submit music to be played in-store.
Hickies Music, the town’s longest-serving music shop, is looking to play music from local artists as part of its in-store soundtrack.
The shop celebrated its 160th anniversary back in 2024, having provided a place to buy instruments, music notation, amps, and sundries such as cases, picks, and strings since 1864.
The independent shop has been run by the same family for more than a century.
Now it is seeking musicians from the local area to submit music for it to play to customers in store.
