RESIDENTS in a number of areas of east Reading are experiencing power outages, including Calcot, Sulham, Tilehurst, and Theale.

Scottish and Southern Energy Networks posted to social media at around 1.30pm to apologise to those who were affected and inform them that engineers have been dispatched.

SSEN estimates that power should be restored by 5.30pm.

Outages can be tracked via SSEN’s dedicated service, found at: powertrack.ssen.co.uk/powertrack

SSEN’s post reads: “We’re sorry for the #POWERCUT affecting CALCOT (N), READING, ENGLEFIELD, SULHAM, THEALE, TILEHURST and the surrounding areas. Engineers are en-route and expect to have the power back on by 17:30.

Job number: KG9572”
