BOROUGH Rotarians welcomed a new member into their fundraising community.
Trevor Goodall was formally admitted to Pangbourne Rotary Club.
Inspired by his own deeply personal experience of the loss of his own premature twin sons, Joshua and Samuel, Trevor is the founder and CEO of New Life Special Care Babies.
His charity is committed to supporting the provision of special care baby units across the UK, giving premature and very sick newborns the best start in life.
Trevor’s sponsor, Mal Sandham, introduced him to the club, after which the most recently inducted member, Tony Stanford-Beale, read Trevor the Objects of Rotary.
President Brian Davies then formally welcomed Trevor into the club and global organisation.
Brian praised Trevor’s many years of running a charity and organising events, and said that he hoped this new membership would prove to be a mutually beneficial.
Members noted that Trevor had already picked up the humourous ‘vibe’ of the club in his acceptance speech.
Finally he was welcomed by all the members, keen to share their hard-working, fun-loving and successful club with him.
Pangbourne Rotary currently has around 30 members, and invites new joiners to find out more.
Members meet in Theale, on Mondays at 7.30pm, with their AGM taking place on Monday, May 11.
