A motorcyclist in his 20s has been seriously injured following a crash in Reading.

Thames Valley Police said the collision happened at about 16:50 BST on Thursday on Wargrave Road.

The incident involved a red Toyota Aygo and a blue Honda motorcycle.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital receiving treatment, the force said.

No arrests have been made and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the collision to come forward.
