Former Reading FC player Alex Pearce has signed for local grassroots club Bracknell Town FC.
Pearce started his career after progressing through the Reading academy and went on to make more than 200 league appearances for the club.
Upon signing for Bracknell, Pearce said: “I have been working with Jordan and the squad during pre-season and have been impressed with the work both he and the lads have been doing.
“I am delighted to join a local club with ambition and look forward to playing a part in the new era.”
He enjoyed his best year with the club in 2011/12 as he played in all 46 Championship games as Brian McDermott’s side won the league and promotion to the Premier League.
He made 19 appearances in the 2012/13 season in the top flight and then played 85 more league games in the Championship before he departed the club.
At the expiration of his contract at Reading, he joined Derby County in 2014.
He went on to play for Derby for four years, had a three year spell at Millwall and a two year stint at AFC Wimbledon.
