TWO COMMUNITY groups are set to empower women at its upcoming gender-based violence (GBV) conference.
Utulivu Women’s Group and ACRE are inviting visitors to Reading Hilton Hotel on November 17 for their Together Tackling GBV event, which is open to all.
Subtitled The World Needs You – Your Voice Counts Too, the purpose is to bring people together to prevent acts of violence against women and girls.
The conference takes place from 1am-2pm and is supported by Reading Voluntary Action, Mojatu Media, Community Wellbeing Hub Reading, Reading Borough Council and the NHS.
