JOGGERS will get to the bottom of why Reading is pronounced the way it is and where to find the Dalai Lama’s favourite restaurant at an upcoming run.

Harbour Sports Club and Reading Hong Kong Runners are collaborating on a Community Run, which will see participants uncover some of the town’s history and most famous anecdotes.

Starting in Forbury Gardens, runners will embark on a 6km route at a leisurely pace, which will end at the University of Reading’s Whiteknights campus.

The free event is open to all and is supported by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities regional VCSE grant for the Hong Kong BN(O) Welcome Programme.

Both organising running groups aim to give Reading Hongkongers the opportunity to integrate smoothly in the town’s wider community.

Places are limited so booking is required.
