POLICE are appealing for a specific witness to come forward following an attempted robbery at knifepoint in Reading.
It comes as part of an investigation launched after two males on an e-bike chased another e-bike rider and attempted to rob him of his bike, threatening him with a knife, on Pell Street at the junction with Elgar Road, at around 11.30pm on Saturday, April 4.
The victim, a man in his twenties, suffered minor injuries but nothing was stolen.
Thames Valley Police say a male can be seen in CCTV to have witnessed the incident but is yet to come forward with information.
One of the offenders is described as an Arabian male of between 5ft 8-10ins in height, of slim build, with short dark hair.
He was wearing a black tracksuit with the hood up.
The other offender is described as an Arabian man of around 5ft 7ins in height and of slim build, with short hair and a brown moustache.
He was wearing an olive top under a blue, zipped up puffer jacket and black trousers.
No age information has been provided.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Freya Renton, of the Berkshire West Priority Crime Team, said: “I am appealing for the witness seen in CCTV to please come forward to support our investigation into this attempted robbery.
“Any other witnesses we are not aware of should also get in touch. While I appreciate this happened more than two weeks ago, I hope any witnesses would remember what happened.
“We will not tolerate robberies or knife crime generally as it puts people at serious risk so we are committed to bringing the offenders to justice.”
