Southern Region Women’s Premier

ASCOT UNITED made it two wins from two with a thumping away win at AFC Portchester.

After being locked at 1-1 at half-time, the Yellas came out firing after the break and netted four times without reply to take an impressive 5-1 away success.

Leah Littlechild scored a brace and Olivia Glover, Leah Robertson and KAte Fox were on the scoresheet.

WOODLEY UNITED picked up their first win of the campaign as they bounced back from their opening day heavy defeat to Ascot.

Lauren Devlin and Sarah Lawrence scored with the game at 2-2 into the final 10 minutes.

However, Woodley took the point as Hollie Barnfield scored before Lawrence netted another late in the day to wrap up the points.

READING FC kicked off their campaign with an away loss to Sholing.

After a summer of change which saw the Royals drop down to the fifth tier after the owner decided not to fund the team in the Women’s Championship, the team now enter a new chapter under manager Pedro Bruno.

They conceded three first half goals in their 3-0 defeat.

Southern Region Women’s Division One North

TILEHURST PANTHERS started the season with a point at home to Beaconsfield Town.

Georgia Hayes, Lydia Vettese and Thea Wright scored for the Panthers in the 3-3 stalemate.

ASCOT UNITED RESERVES lost out 1-0 to Abingdon United Development in their opening match.

Thames Valley Women’s Division One

FINCHAMPSTEAD started in style with a 5-0 away triumph at Haddenham.

Lauren Smaje scored two and Chloe Bagshaw, Amy Scott and Gemma Wardle added to the score.

Thames Valley Women’s Division Two

S4K LADIES drew 4-4 with Wantage Town with goals from Claudia Periquito, KAte Stewart, Chloe Sykes and Natalie White.

CAVERSHAM AFC collected a point in a 3-3 draw with East Oxford.

Thames Valley Women’s Division 3S

AFC READING picked up maximum points with a 5-2 win over BERKS COUNTY.

WARGRAVE lost out 4-1 to Harefield United, while SANDHURST WOLVES defeated Marlow Town 4-1.
