Wokingham District Primary Schools’ Girls booked their place in the National Final with an outstanding victory in the semi-finals.

Playing in the ESFA National Cup at Ryeish Green Sports Hub, Wokingham took a one-goal lead into the break after a closely contested first-half as captain Florence Gretton netted from a free-kick.

Wokingham could have had a second before the break but had a goal disallowed.

However, that didn’t stop Gretton from claiming her second of the match in the second-half with another stunning free-kick.

After Tonbridge and Malling had got on the scoresheet, goalkeeper Isabelle Houghton made a superb point blank save before Gretton sealed her hat-trick with a 25-yard strike.

Tonbridge set up a nervy game when they made it 3-2, but Wokingham managed to confirm their place in the final with fourth goal when Poppy Davies found Ava Tilley, who calmly slotted past the keeper.
