New Theale Golf Club captain Pete Leckie first tried playing golf when he was 18 years old but gave it up when he was 19, as he admits he wasn’t any good at it.
However, many years later, he decided to give it another try. So five years ago, he made tour of golf clubs in the area and decided on Theale. He admits that his golf, although improved is still not great but he has enjoyed it so much he was pleased to accept the invitation to be Theale Club Captain for the coming year.
Despite his modest view of his golf, Pete hit a perfect Captains Drive-In, straight down the centre of the fairway.
