Former Reading FC striker Adam Le Fondre is on the hunt for a new club having been released by Scottish side Hibernian.
The 37-year-old scored five goals in 23 appearances for Hibernian, but is now a free agent having seen his contract expire.
The forward enjoyed a superb three year spell with Reading which saw him become a firm fans favourite during his time in Berkshire.
Having made a name for himself as a goalscorer in the EFL, Reading paid around £350,000 to sign Le Fondre from Rotherham in 2011.
In his first season, Brian McDermott’s side won promotion to the Premier League by winning the Championship as Le Fondre contributed with 12 league goals, including a famous double against promotion rivals Southampton in a 3-1 victory.
He then scored 12 times in 34 Premier League games as he became renowned for being a ‘super sub’ for McDermott’s side.
In his final season with the Royals, Le Fondre scored 15 Championship goals to take his final tally to the club to 41 goals in all competitions.
He then joined Cardiff City before having spells with Bolton Wanderers, Wolves, Wigan and then made a move to Australia with Sydney FC for five seasons.
