Roberto Lima had the bad luck to start his painting and decorating company, Lima Decor, shortly before the Covid pandemic.

“Through sheer determination he alone kept his new business alive despite not receiving a Covid grant,” said his nominator for the Entrepreneur of the Year award.

He gained experience and his technical skills set while working in Royal households such as Kensington Palace and Windsor Castle with his previous employer, they continued.

“Over the past five years, Roberto has used his technical and networking skill to grow his small business, building a reputation as a high-quality decorator and regularly working with high net worth clients and commercial businesses across Berkshire.

They added: “He has a full-time employee and regularly manages larger subcontracted teams for larger jobs where he acts as a project manager. He holds great pride in his work, never failing to deliver high quality and timely projects.”
