Police have increased patrols in the Coley area of Reading following reports of drug-related activity and anti-social behaviour.
Neighbourhood officers were out on foot and vehicle patrols on Thursday as part of efforts to reassure residents and gather information about ongoing concerns.
Thames Valley Police said officers spoke with members of the local community, collected intelligence and encouraged residents to continue reporting incidents.
The force said the patrols were carried out in response to a number of reports from the area.
Officers added that community information plays an important role in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour, helping police to identify issues and target resources where they are needed most.
Residents are being urged to report concerns by calling 101 or by speaking directly with neighbourhood officers while they are on patrol.
Police said they would continue to work with the community to address local issues and improve safety in the area.
