Police have released the image of a man who could have information connected to the assault in Palmer Park on Thursday, March 10

Thames Valley Police is releasing a CCTV image of a man who it believes may have witnessed an assault.

The incident occurred between 11pm and 12am on Thursday, March 10, in Palmer Park, Wokingham Road.

The victim, a 31-year-old man, was assaulted while in the park and sustained a serious head injury, for which he is still receiving treatment in hospital.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Laura Corscadden, based at Reading police station, said: “This was a very serious assault which resulted in a man sustaining a serious injury which has required him to receive ongoing hospital treatment.

“We are releasing this image as we believe that the man pictured may have witnessed the assault and could have information that could assist our investigation.

A 31-year-old man from Reading has been arrested in connection with this incident remains in custody at this time.
