FAMILIES will have a chance to step into the silver screen this Easter thanks to a unique film-themed egg hunt.

Running from Saturday, March 23, through to Sunday, April 14, visitors to Basildon Park can embark on an action-packed adventure with 10 film and cinema-inspired games and activities.

The fun-filled trail features challenges including a wheelbarrow race recreating prop deliveries to film sets, a beanbag toss aimed at giant popcorn buckets, and hopscotch on a Hollywood Walk of Fame replica.

Suitable for all ages, the trail encourages families to explore the parkland and gardens of the National Trust property while searching for hidden treats.

The cost is £3 per trail (in addition to regular admission) and includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears, a chocolate egg, or a vegan “Free-From” option – all made with Rainforest Alliance Certified cocoa.

National Trust members get in free, while non-member admission starts at £15 for adults and £7.50 for children aged five to 17.
