Reading Football Club is gearing up for a spectacular Easter Monday celebration, marking the 20th anniversary of their record-breaking 2005/06 Championship-winning campaign.

The Royals will host Lincoln City at the Select Car Leasing Stadium in what the club is calling “106 Day,” a nod to the unprecedented 106 points that secured their promotion to the Premier League.

Supporters can expect a nostalgic trip down memory lane, with former players from the historic side returning to RG2, along with legendary manager Steve Coppell. Fans will have the chance to meet some of the heroes behind one of the most iconic seasons in Reading’s history. The club has promised more names and details of matchday festivities in the coming weeks.

The celebrations will include fan-submitted photos from the 2005/06 campaign displayed on the stadium big screen and a special mid-2000s playlist to bring the memories of the record-breaking season to life.

But the day won’t just be about looking back, Reading and Lincoln City are both vying for promotion in League One, adding an extra layer of excitement to the fixture.

More details on returning stars and matchday activities will be revealed soon through Reading FC’s official channels, giving supporters plenty to look forward to on what promises to be a historic Easter Monday.
