A GROUP of borough seamstresses have been busy making Christmas bags for youngsters.
Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh have put their sewing machines to work, and have made Santa sacks for The Cowshed.
These will be filled with toys and other Christmas goodies for children in families currently finding themselves in difficult circumstances.
The Cowshed supports a wide range of projects to support people at crisis points in their lives, including providing Christmas gifts for youngsters in the borough.
The Inner Wheel Club of Reading Maiden Erlegh supports good causes with fundraising and group activities.
They meet on the third Thursday of every month at Sonning Golf Club.
