A drug dealer has been jailed for more than three years following a joint investigation by Thames Valley Police and the Metropolitan Police into a county lines drugs operation.
Silverson Greenidge was sentenced after admitting being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, namely crack cocaine and heroin, as well as acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
Police said officers approached Greenidge in March as he was getting into a silver BMW parked in Chatham Place.
He was detained under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and found to be carrying £110 in cash and two mobile phones, one of which officers identified as a drugs line phone.
Greenidge was arrested at the scene.
A subsequent search of his home uncovered a further £1,000 in cash, police said.
The investigation, carried out jointly with the Metropolitan Police, linked Greenidge to the “Torres” drugs line.
Following the sentencing, Thames Valley Police said the case demonstrated its commitment to tackling the supply of illegal drugs.
In a statement, the force said: “Our message is clear: our team will target and prosecute offenders involved in the supply of drugs.”
Police have urged anyone with information about drug offences in their area to report it by calling 101 or through the Thames Valley Police website.
