A project to convert two flats into homes using extensions in Kentwood Hill has been rejected.
An application was submitted to Reading Borough Council to add a side extension to the property, creating two two-bedroom homes in place of two one-bedroom flats.
The site is next to the Tilehurst Club building.
The scheme was turned down by the council’s planning department as it felt the proposals would have created an ‘unacceptable standard of accommodation’ for future occupants.
The application can be seen by logging on to Reading Borough Council’s planning portal, and searching for reference 230764.
