One person has died and a police appeal for witnesses has been launched following a road traffic collision in Reading on Tuesday, March 10.

A silver Toyota Yaris and a pedal cycle were involved in the collision at around 8.20pm at the Water Road junction with Groveslands Road and Dee Road.

The cyclist, a 29-year-old man, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, and no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

Investigating officer, Detective Seargent Matthew Cadmore. of the Road’s Policing Unit said: “First and foremost, my thoughts are with the family of the man who has sadly died in this incident. We are supporting them at this extremely upsetting time.

“I am appealing for anybody who was in the area at around the time of this collision to check any dash-cam or CCTV footage in case it has captured something that may assist us with this investigation.
