Students at Theale Green School are celebrating after receiving their A Level and vocational qualification results, with pupils securing places at universities, apprenticeships and other post-18 destinations.
Year 13 students collected their results alongside friends, family and staff, marking the end of their sixth-form studies.
The school said the results reflected continued improvements across the sixth form, with students making better progress compared with the national average.
Two-thirds of grades achieved were between A* and C.
Among the students celebrating were Jasper Burton, who achieved A*AB and will study English Literature at Durham University.
Ed Haines achieved A*AB and will study International Relations at the University of Exeter, while Eddie Riches achieved AABB and will study Physics with Astrophysics at the University of Bristol.
Lucy McLaren achieved ABBA* and will study Geography at Newcastle University.
Several students have also secured apprenticeship placements, including Megan Lockley, who is joining Thames Valley Police, and Grace Thomas, who has secured a position with a local accountancy firm.
Headteacher Charlotte Badarello said the cohort had been the first to join Theale Green School in Year 7 after it became part of the ALET Trust.
“We are delighted that so many of this incredible year group have secured their places at prestigious universities and degree apprenticeships,” she said.
“These students have shone brightly in their seven years, contributing significantly to the success of the school.
“They are now in a strong position to progress their studies further.”
David Holbrook, assistant headteacher for sixth form, said he was “so proud” of the students and praised their resilience and contribution to the school and wider community.
“They are role models for younger students; their tenacity and resilience has left a firm legacy within the school for many years to come,” he said.
He highlighted the students’ involvement in leadership roles and community activities, including the school’s annual Pensioner’s Tea Party.
Among those celebrating was Emily Clifford, who is preparing to begin a nursing qualification.
“I am really excited to start my nursing qualification,” she said.
“I enjoy helping others and am looking forward to starting my career.”
The school said staff would continue to provide advice and guidance to students who were still deciding on their next steps in the coming weeks.
