You will receive mandatory training, provided by the Royal Berkshire Hospital, which can be completed at home.
Berkshire Vision provides vital practical and friendly support, sport and activities to visually impaired children and adults, and their families in Berkshire.
They offer a busy sport and activities programme for their members and need volunteers to help. As a volunteer you can either focus on the sport or activity that interests you.
They are looking for several volunteers to assist with: tandem cycling, football, golf, running, dragon boating, swimming, tennis and more.
The time commitment varies and is very flexible as they have sports and activities happening all the time. If you are looking for a regular time to volunteer Berkshire Vision also has a lunch club on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Home-Start Reading is a small local charity working across Reading to support families with young children through challenging times.
They are looking to recruit new Trustees who are willing and able to take an active role in the running of the charity, with a range of skills and experience: ranging from fundraising to IT, Legal to HR.
You’ll be working together with a committed group of people to support a charity that makes a real difference to local families and has been doing so for the past 40 years. You’ll be attending a trustees meeting for two hours every other month, your choice how much time you give beyond that.
