Thames Valley Premier League

READING YMCA produced an exceptional result with a convincing win over reigning champions FINCHAMPSTEAD.

Reading ran away with the game and came out as 5-1 winners with a brace from Pele Hagger and goals from Archie Denton, Alfie Stephens and Lucas Wynn.

The win puts Reading into fourth position on six points, level with Finchampstead in fifth who have a game in hand.

WARGRAVE are in third place after they gained a point away at Marlow United.

The 3-3 stalemate means that Wargrave are on seven points from four games.

READING CITY U23’s lost out on the road to Wraysbury Village.

The 4-2 loss puts them in seventh on six points from four matches.

Thames Valley Division Two

BURGHFIELD RESERVES got off the mark with a 3-2 victory away at BERKS COUNTY SWORDS.

Samson Lace, Billy Margetts and Alex Vallins netted to help Burghfield to three points.

 

READING YMCA RAPIDS opened their season with a 3-2 success at HURST RESERVES.

Bradley Hoy and Matt Lambert scored for the hosts, but goals from Joel Burton, Steve Woodrow and Jhamal Robinson helped the Rapids to victory.

Thames Valley Division Three

READING CITY DEVELOPMENT started their season by hitting six past Goring United Reserves in a 6-2 win.

BINFIELD DEVELOPMENT U23’s earned three points in their opening match with a 4-2 triumph at Hambleden Stags.

Thames Valley Division Four

HARCHESTER HAWKS smashed 10 past AFC Corinthians in their first match of the season.

 

FINCHAMPSTEAD UNITED and BERKS COUNTY ROVERS shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

READING CITY U18’s lost out 3-1 to SB Phoenix Development, while BURGHFIELD A earned a point in a 1-1 draw at Taplow United Reserves.
