A SECOND building has been targeted by vandals throwing paint in an incident which mirrors unusual acts of vandalism around the country.
A property on the corner of Lynmouth Road and Vastern Road was seen to have red and black paint thrown over it in the early hours of Wednesday, March 27, when residents began posting pictures to social media.
Red paint can be seen splashed over the front of the building, including over windows and the front door.
The side of the building has also been covered with red and black paint, and the word “brothel” has been spray-painted on the wall.
It follows a similar incident in Caversham in December, when the facade of a branch of Thames Hospice was splashed with red paint.
Both incidents are unusual in that a phone number is also sprayed onto the building.
The incidents follow a string of similar acts of vandalism around the UK, with multiple incidents in London and even further afield in Huddersfield.
All of the attacks feature the word “brothel,” and many include phone numbers graffitied onto the buildings.
It is not known if these incidents are linked.
