Reading neighbourhood police officers carried out more than 20 stop searches and secured more than 30 charges relating to shoplifting and burglary offences during a busy week of activity.
Thames Valley Police said officers from the Reading Neighbourhood Team had also completed more than 200km of combined foot patrols across the town.
The team said the stop searches had resulted in a number of positive outcomes, including arrests, the seizure of drugs and community resolutions.
Officers also obtained a Closure Order on a property, helping to address ongoing issues affecting the local community.
The neighbourhood team said it had supported response officers in locating missing people and had assisted people experiencing mental health challenges or in crisis.
Officers also attended the Kensington Parks Fiesta with PCSO Williams last Saturday.
The team said its officers remained committed to tackling crime, protecting vulnerable people and supporting communities.
Residents with concerns about their area, or information which could help police tackle crime, are being encouraged to report it to Thames Valley Police.
