Following a Thames Valley Police investigation, a man has been jailed for drug offences in Reading.
Ryan Kinuthia, aged 20, of Dee Road, Tilehurst, was sentenced to five years and seven months’ imprisonment at Reading Crown Court on Tuesday, April 26.
He pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely cocaine and heroin, two counts of concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely cocaine and heroin and one count of possession of criminal property.
At just before 5am on Friday, March 4, officers executed a Section 8 warrant at an address on Dee Road in Tilehurst, Reading.
Officers located quantities of crack cocaine and heroin, weighing over 28g.
Kinuthia was charged the following day.
Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Jon Nicholls, of the Stronghold team, based at Reading police station, said: “We will never tolerate drug-dealing in our communities and I hope this conviction and sentence sends a clear message to anybody involved in this criminal activity in Reading that we will robustly target you and bring you to justice.
“County lines drug dealers target the most vulnerable in our society and we remain absolutely resolute in our determination to remove them, and their drugs, from our communities and protect victims.
