Former Reading FC winger Femi Azeez is being linked with a potential £20m move to a Premier League side when the summer transfer window opens.
The 24-year-old joined Millwall from Reading in 2024 for a fee believed to be around £1m after impressing in League One.
Since moving to The Den, Azeez has enjoyed a breakthrough season in the Championship, scoring 11 goals and registering seven assists as Millwall reached the play-offs.
Reports have now linked the winger with a summer move to Europa League champions Aston Villa. Ipswich Town, who won promotion back to the Premier League, are also thought to be interested in Azeez.
Millwall are expected to demand a club-record fee for the player after he has continued to impress. Millwall finished inside the Championship top six but were beaten by Hull City in the play-off semi-final.
The speculation could also prove significant for Reading, who are believed to have inserted a sell-on clause into the deal which took Azeez to Millwall. While the exact percentage has never been confirmed, reports have suggested the Royals could be due a sizeable windfall if a Premier League transfer goes through.
Azeez came through Reading’s academy after joining from non-league football in 2019 and went on to make 89 appearances for the club, scoring 11 goals.
He played 46 times in the 2023/24 season under manager Ruben Selles and then Noel Hunt and netted eight League One goals.
He enjoyed his best goal tally in a single season in 2025/26 as he scored 11 Championship goals for Millwall.
