A CHANCE to tour Reading Abbey and learn more about its past is on offer this Sunday.
Expert guides from Walk Reading will explain more about how it was built, what life was like for the monks who lived there, how the site developed and why the Abbey is a ruin today.
It dates back to the 12th century and, in its heyday, was one of Europe’s largest monasteries.
The tour takes place from 3pm and places cost £9.
