THAMES Valley Police has placed visible patrols around Jewish places of worship in Thames Valley following the violent attack outside a synagogue in Manchester on Thursday, October 2.
While the incident took place outside of TVP’s force area, they are seeking to mitigate the impact felt by members of the Jewish community in Thames Valley.
They have also begun direct engagement with community groups and local religious organisations to offer support.
“Thames Valley Police Chief Superintendent Emma Baillie said: “We know how unsettling this incident has been, and we want our communities to feel safe and supported.
“Our officers are out in greater numbers, particularly around places of worship, and we are working closely with community leaders to ensure we’re listening and responding to their needs.
“Thames Valley Police remains committed to protecting all communities and fostering trust through visibility, empathy and action.”
