THAMES Valley Police is appealing for witnesses following a stabbing in central Reading on Monday, December 19.
At around 2pm, a man in his twenties was stabbed in Market Place, suffering serious injuries to his neck and face.
He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged.
A man has been arrested and subsequently charged in connection with this incident.
Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Laura Corscadden, of Reading CID, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this assault to please come forward to help our investigation.
“The incident is believed to have started outside Costa Coffee on Broad Street and continued to Market Place where the assault took place.
“So I would like any witnesses who saw or heard any part of the incident to get in touch.
“Also, if you have any CCTV cameras in the areas described or were driving there and have a dash-cam, and you haven’t already come forward, please check your recordings in case you captured anything that could aid us and let us know if you have.
