SOUTH Street Arts Centre is set to welcome Leicestershire trio The Wave Pictures this weekend.

The band, formed of Jonny Helm (drums), Dave Tattersall (guitar and vocals) and Franic Rozycki (bass), bring their tastes for classic rock, jazz, and blues to a prolific output.

Their work includes 11 studio albums and collaborated with the likes of Billy Childish, Jeffrey Lewis, Daniel Johnston, and Darren Hayman, as well as made appearances at music fixtures such as Primavera Sound, Green Man, and End of the Road Festival.

This week they’ll be joined by stalwart of Reading’s own music scene, Damien A Passmore, hot on the heels of his recent appearance at Readipop Fiesta.

The event is brought to the stage by Heavy Pop.

The Wave Pictures, with support from Damien A Passmore, are performing at Reading’s South Street Arts Centre from 7.30pm on Saturday, October 11.
