Former Reading winger Mamadi Camara has joined Turkish second-tier club Kayserispor following his departure from the Royals.

The 22-year-old left Reading at the end of last season after his contract expired, with the club opting not to offer him a new deal.

Camara first linked up with Reading’s academy in October 2020 after beginning his youth career with Portuguese club C.D. Feirense.

He made his senior debut for the Royals as a substitute in an FA Cup third-round tie against Luton Town in January 2021 before signing his first professional contract the following month.

The Guinea-Bissau international went on to make his Championship debut later that season, coming off the bench during a defeat by Norwich City in May 2021.

Over the course of his time at Reading, Camara made 75 first-team appearances, scoring seven goals and registering four assists.

Despite showing flashes of promise during his spell at the Select Car Leasing Stadium, opportunities became limited last season under manager Leam Richardson.

Camara featured just four times during the 2025-26 campaign before leaving the club when his contract came to an end this summer.

He has now secured a move to Kayserispor, who are preparing for the new season in Turkey’s second division.

Camara is the latest former Reading player to find a new club following his release at the end of last season.
