De Vere Wokefield Estate, located near Reading and part of De Vere’s collection of historic mansion house estates and contemporary hotels, has announced it has been recognised by Tripadvisor as a 2025 Travellers’ Choice award winner.

The coveted award celebrates hotels that have consistently received outstanding reviews on Tripadvisor over the last 12 months, placing De Vere Wokefield Estate among the top 10% of all listings on Tripadvisor globally.

Peter Sangster, the hotel’s Venue Director, commented: “This is the second consecutive year that De Vere Wokefield Estate has been recognised in the top 10% of hotels across the world. It’s down to the team’s hard work and dedication to always go above and beyond which means they’re always delivering the highest standard of customer service possible. “I want to extend my thanks and appreciation to our guests who have taken the time to review and leave such positive feedback following their visits to De Vere Wokefield Estate.”

De Vere Wokefield Estate, the former home of the Plowden family, is a historic mansion house hotel nestled in 250 acres of Berkshire parkland. Guests visiting can play on the 18-hole Championship golf course, which has been designed to US PGA standards and even practice on the all-weather driving range.

The hotel also has tennis courts and a newly refurbished gym with state-of-the-art Technogym equipment. Onsite there’s two restaurants, including The View, serving up British dishes with a French twist and the Tapas at 1560, where an authentic selection of tapas dishes and paellas are served in the mansion house.

The recently refurbished bedrooms in the mansion house feature new Penhaligon’s toiletries, and thoughtful finishing touches to make every stay memorable.
