Children enjoyed arts and crafts, and a special visit from a princess at a summer party that brought members of different communities in Reading together.

The event was facilitated by the Parenting Special Children charity, which provides specialist services for children and their families with special education needs and disabilities (SEND).

The party was hosted by councillor Mamuna Naz and took place at the Dee Space Community Centre in West Reading.

Photos of the event show children enjoying arts and crafts, receiving goodie bags and having a special visit by Princess Elsa from the Disney film Frozen.

Cllr Naz (Labour, Norcot) said: “Zobia Kaleem and I hosted a summer party at Dee space community centre this morning for children with special needs from diverse ethnic communities.

“The kids, parents, and siblings enjoyed entertainment, face painting, henna designs, art, and refreshments.
