A meeting that was organised for residents to raise questions about the upcoming cancellation of a bus service between Reading and Caversham has been postponed due to the heatwave.
Matt Rodda, the Labour MP for Reading Central, organised a meeting to discuss the forthcoming cancellation of the Pink 22 Reading Buses service between the town centre and Caversham Heights.
The meeting was meant to take place at 7.30pm on Friday, June 26, at Highdown School.
However, the meeting waspostponed as the Met Office has issued a red warning for high temperatures that is in place throughout the day.
The invite has been sent to affected residents and Reading Borough councillors.
Councillors Isobel Ballsdon (Conservative), Saadia Saadat (Conservative) and Jenny McGrother (Labour), the three representatives for Caversham Heights, are understood to have registered their attendance.
The Pink 22 service is due to end on Monday, July 20.
The route runs in a loop covering Woodcote Way and Conisboro Avenue and Albert Road.
