READING Borough Council’s planning department has approved advertising designs for a Korean takeaway set to take over the closed La De Express Turkish restaurant in the town centre.

A branch of La De Express at 23-24 Market Place closed several months ago, and is to become a Korean takeaway called The Bap. This will be the firm’s third branch, joining existing sites in Swindon and Fanrborough.

Advertising consent for The Bap was granted earlier this month.

The site previously served as the Select Car Leasing offices and before that an estate agency.

For more details, or to view the plans, search for application 230677 on Reading Borough Council’s planning website.
