THAMES Valley Police is urgently appealing for help in locating a missing woman from Newbury.
Sophie, who is 28-years-old, was last seen near to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading at just after 4am on the morning of Tuesday, Jun 23.
Sophie is approximately 5ft 2ins tall, white with long ginger hair which is tied up on top of her head.
She was last seen wearing a black zip-up hooded top and black bottoms and was carrying a black and gold backpack.
She’s believed to be on foot and may appear unwell due to heat and lack of food.
Detective Chief Inspector John Wordsworth said: “We’re very concerned for Sophie’s welfare, particularly given the extreme temperatures and I do not believe she will have any food or drink on her when she was reported missing.
“She is believed to have been in the area of Oxford Road, and is also known to frequent Norcot, Caversham Heights and Purley-on-Thames.
“I would appeal to anybody who believes that they have seen her to please report this by calling us on 999, quoting reference 43260315455.
“You can also report sightings via our dedicated missing persons’ portal, which is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”
