THE UNIVERSITY of Reading has provided an update on the unauthorised encampment at their Whiteknights campus.
In a statement posted via social media, the university said: “The unauthorised vehicles which had parked on the sports field near the entrance to the Whiteknights campus have now moved on.
“The area is now being cleaned. Colleagues and other visitors are advised to avoid the area until further notice.”
The travellers were believed to have moved onto the playing field by Shinfield Road on Sunday, with the university announcing their presence on Monday.
