Radio Wigwam, an independent radio station based in Reading and Cardiff with a global vision of promoting emerging, under-the-radar grassroots artists, has announced that its acclaimed networking initiative Grassroots Connect is coming to Reading.
The event will take place at The Purple Turtle on Thursday 18th September 2025, kicking off at 6:30pm.
Grassroots Connect is a vibrant night of music, ideas, and community designed to celebrate and strengthen the grassroots music scene. The initiative brings together artists, venues, promoters, and music lovers with one goal: to build a powerful community that amplifies local voices and helps grassroots music thrive.
The evening will also feature outstanding live performances from Reading favourites The Stretch and Guildford-based group Cold July, showcasing the very best in local talent.
