A “true champion for kids’ who are suffering bullying in schools has been nominated as Community Champion, sponsored by Reading Football Club.

Manu Dhaumya runs United Against Bullies in Reading. His nominator said: “Bullying has turned into a big issue in schools starting from a young age. Manu has highlighted the need for tougher laws in schools to stop bullying. Bullying has stopped many kids from going to regular school as they are scared they will be picked upon.”

They added that Manu through his organisation has helped youngsters and their families in working with schools and the authorities.

“He is the poster boy of anti-bullying and is wisely recognised for his work in Reading. A true champion for kids.”

Manu also sponsors Shinfield cricket team, providing free training for kids who want to try a different sport said his nominator. “He’s organising another cricket tournament in aid of United Against Bullies and getting local team to participate to raise awareness about bullying in schools. A real hero of Reading.”
