ONE OF Reading’s rising bands will be joining Easy Life, Sam Fender, Billie Eilish, and The Killers in taking to the stage at Reading Festival in August.

Festival Republic has announced that Only The Poets is among the acts tipped to perform at the festival when it returns next month.

In total, 27 artists have been added to the weekend’s roster as BBC Introducing has announced who will be performing on its dedicated stage at the event.

As well as Only The Poets, Lucia & The Best Boys, The Goa Express, HotWax, and Grandma’s House have also been announced.

It comes hot on the heels of the band’s latest release, Crash, on Thursday, June 8, and an interview with Mollie King on BBC Radio 1.

The band is releasing the music video for the single live on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch programme from 10am on Sunday, July 2.

They have also recently announced a homecoming headline tour in the UK, including dates in Manchester, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Southampton, and Glasglow, in late October.

They’ll join fellow Reading band The Amazons on the bill at Reading Festival, as The Amazons are set to perform on Main Stage West on Sunday, August 27.

The BBC Introducing stage showcases up and coming acts at the festival as part of its UK-wide support and platforming of underground artists.

The stage will also see performances from Alt Blk Era, Frozemode, Charlotte Plant, Blazer Boccle, Cole Bleu, Native James, Pixey, Hannah Grae, L’objectif, Chalk, Twist, and Matilda Mann.

This year’s festival will see performances from Sam Fender, Easy Life, Arlo Parks, The Killers, Billie Eilish, Foals, Imagine Dragons, Don Broco, You Me At Six, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, The Murder Capital, and Declan McKenna.

Only The Poets will perform on the BBC Introducing Stage at Reading Festival on Saturday, August 26.
