READING West and Mid Berkshire MP Olivia Bailey has presented the Tilehurst branch of the Royal British Legion with a letter from the Defence Secretary thanking them for their support of residents.

Defence Sec John Healy MP penned the letter to the Tilehurst branch expressing thanks for their support of local veterans and service members, praising them for their work on the Turn Tilehurst Red initiative, as well as for their hard work every year marking Remembrance Day.

Ms Bailey also highlighted the aims of continued support to the armed forces, through investment in AWE in Aldermaston, pay rises for the armed forces, and plans to renew armed forces housing.

Olivia Bailey MP said: “It was such an honour to present this thank you letter from the Defence Secretary to the Tilehurst Royal British Legion, recognising the vital work the team do to support our armed forces and veterans.
