A 42-year-old man has been sentenced after pleading guilty to making indecent images of children and possessing extreme pornographic images involving a chicken.
Steven Nelson, of Meadow Way in the village of Theale, just outside of Reading, pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent photographs of a child and one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image and images portraying an act of intercourse with a chicken.
The offences are alleged to have taken place in Theale, Berkshire on May 21, 2024.
He was found with 21 pictures of the sexual act with a chicken and admitted to making hundreds of child abuse images.
He was sentenced at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, June 24.
The court heard the images had all been collected or created while Nelson was living in Theale.
He was made subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order, requiring him to notify police of certain details throughout its duration. Magistrates also imposed a deprivation order, meaning his mobile phone was confiscated.
Nelson was given a suspended sentence of 52 weeks in prison.
