A NEW talk will help people get ready for the annual Birdwatch counting weekend by explaining more about which feathered friends visit your garden.
Birds, Bins and a Brew is the name of the session, which will be given by naturalist Ailsa Claybourn.
She will explore ways in which people can encourage visits from birds, explain more about their song, and unpack the best items to offer as food.
Ms Claybourn also leads guided walks locally, and has been mad about birds since she was a child.
The event is organised by Reading U3A, and is open to everyone. Entry is free, just turn up.
It takes place from 1.30pm at Abbey Baptist Church in Abbey Square on Monday, January 22.
