Thames Valley Police is continuing its enquiries following an incident last week where schools across Berkshire were sent an email with threats to behead a teacher.
The email, seen by Wokingham Today, forced one school into lockdown on Thursday, September 24, after it was sent to numerous schools, saying: “At 8.30, I will enter the school and stab all of my classmates”, and “My main target is a certain maths teacher who I’m going to behead.”
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police told Wokingham Today: “Thames Valley Police continues to investigate the threatening email sent to a number of schools.
“The report was assessed immediately and, following our enquiries, the threat has been assessed as not credible.
“This remains a live investigation, and we are treating the matter extremely seriously.
“Officers are progressing a number of enquiries to identify those responsible.
“We continue to work closely with the impacted schools, partner agencies and the wider community to provide reassurance and support.
“At this stage, no arrests have been made and no further threatening messages have been received.”
