WELLESLEY NURSERY
For young children, learning happens everywhere – not just around a table. At Wellesley Nursery, children from the age of two have the freedom to explore, play and learn in a beautiful Hampshire countryside setting, with plenty of opportunities to get outside and get stuck in.
Based within Wellesley Prep School, the Nursery offers children a welcoming and nurturing start to school life. The Early Years team follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, combining child-led play with adult guided
activities and following each child’s interests as they develop.
There is plenty to discover. Children can explore the Nursery’s outdoor spaces, spend time in the woodland, enjoy Forest Friends sessions, grow things in the garden and take part in activities that encourage them to ask questions and try new things. They also benefit from specialist sessions including swimming, PE and music, alongside the everyday learning that takes place through play, stories, creativity and time spent with friends.
For families, Wellesley Nursery offers flexibility too. The Nursery is now open for 51 weeks of the year, with wraparound care available from 8am to 6pm. This gives families more choice while children enjoy the familiarity of a setting where they can feel happy, settled and confident.
The Nursery is also part of the wider Wellesley community, giving children the opportunity to become familiar with the school environment as they approach Reception. It’s a place where little adventures are part of everyday life, whether that’s discovering something new in the woodland, taking a first swimming lesson or simply finding a new favourite book.

Choosing a Sixth Form is about finding a place that provides excellent academic preparation while building confidence, skills and experience young people need for life beyond school.
Luckley’s new Futures Programme provides an enhanced Sixth Form experience combining academic excellence with personal development, real-world experience and tailored support.
A Levels remain at the heart of our provision, but we know that today’s young people need more than qualifications to thrive in a changing world. Alongside A Levels, Luckley will offer alternative Sixth Form pathways and professional qualifications, giving students greater choice to follow a pathway that suits their strengths and ambitions.
Our close-knit Sixth Form means every student is known, valued and supported. Alongside individuals academic and pastoral guidance, the Futures Programme will provide opportunities for mentoring, work experience, lectures, university visits and careers events, helping students explore different pathways and gain first-hand insight into the world beyond school. DOLPHIN SCHOOL
A New Chapter
Dolphin School, Hurst, is entering an exciting new chapter this September, as the school continues to grow and evolve, while staying true to the values that have always made it distinctive.
This autumn marks an important milestone as Dolphin welcomes its first ever Year 9 class, with the school continuing to expand into Years 10 and 11 in 2027 and 2028. Alongside this growth comes the introduction of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme for pupils in Years 7–11. The MYP offers an exciting approach to learning at a pivotal stage in a young person’s education. Rather than simply focusing on what students learn, it encourages them to think about how they learn — developing research skills, curiosity, critical thinking, communication and presentation skills, while helping them make meaningful connections between their subjects and the world around them.
But the changes at Dolphin extend beyond the classroom.
Over the past year, the school has embarked on an ambitious programme of refurbishment and development, including the creation of a new Pre-Prep learning hub. As the new academic year approaches, children from Nursery through to Year 2 will benefit from connected classrooms and a wraparound garden, creating a flexible environment designed to encourage movement, collaboration, independence and exploration. These developments represent an exciting investment in the future of the school, but they also build on something that has always been at the heart of a Dolphin education: Freedom to Learn.
There is no uniform at Dolphin. Teachers and students are on first-name terms. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and deliberately different. Children are encouraged to be themselves, to ask questions, embrace challenges and discover their passions and talents.
