You know an artist is a star in the making when fans arrive hours early to their sold out show to ensure that they are at the front and when, during the show, the whole audience sings along to every song.

That happened last week at Àine’s special Sisterhood show in London where she performed a wonderful acoustic set.

Àine was joined by various guests throughout the night who created an atmosphere that helped make the night feel like a happy joyous gathering of friends.

This song is Áine’s latest single and is a prime example of her quality songwriting with its infectious catchy chorus and great lyrics – if anyone out there is messing their girlfriend around take care.

Áine has a new EP coming out in September with a tour of some impressive venues to follow. Before that though, there’s an opportunity to see her with her band, headlining the Wokingham Music Club Stage at Wokingham Festival on Saturday, August 24 – www.ainedeanemusic.com

Phantom Booth – Thieving Hound

Talking of Wokingham Festival, here’s a band that played there last year.

This is their first release of the year, and as we have come to expect from this band it’s a good one.

Opening with a cool guitar, bass and drum groove it drives along into a great chorus with lyrics about an interesting thieving character that the band met.

The song builds to a dramatic finale of vocals, strings and power – linktr.ee/phantombooth

In Albion – The Fall

After a quiet year or two after their first releases, In Albion are well and truly back. This is their third release of the year and we hear that there are more to come.

That’s great to hear as we like this band’s unique theatrical rock sound which you can see live at Reading’s Purple Turtle on Monday, July 22 – allmylinks.com/inalbionband

Amanda Lehmann – Tinkerbell

There is a great opportunity to see this renowned musician – Amanda also plays in Steve Hackett’s touring band – when she opens the main stage at Wokingham Festival on August Bank Holiday Monday – www.amandalehmann.co.uk

A Better Life (feat. Pete Rawcliffe) – Cold Goodbye

The beautifully chilled A Better Life collective with an impressive new single – abetterlifemusic.com

Delaney Davidson – Heaven Is Falling

It’s worth getting to Reading Face Bar on July 7 for this unique gothic country artist from New Zealand – www.delaneydavidson.com

Jopy – Head Hunters Pub And Grub

Brilliant new indie from Jopy who play a Club Velocity Show on September 27 at The Rising Sun Arts Centre – linktr.ee/jopymusic

Third Lung – Pin Stripe Maroon

It’s another slice of power, melody and quality from one of our fave Reading based bands – www.thirdlungband.com

The Paradox Twin – Planeta

This Reading band performs the whole of their debut album The Importance of Mr Bedlam at South Street Arts Centre on June 20. They will also play a special festival set at Wokingham Festival in August – www.theparadoxtwin.com

The Mezz – Town Boy

It’s Oxford-based The Mezz who, at Sub89, performed a vibrant exciting set recently as part of Are You Listening? festival – bit.ly/themezzlinks
