Street art is coming to a wall that is passed by thousands of people each day in Reading town centre.
The wall at the meeting point of Station Road and Garrard Street is seen by thousands going to and from Reading train station.
Soon, a street art mural will cover the wall similar to an existing one in Station Road itself.
That is just one of the planning updates in Reading recently.
Elsewhere, a project is moving forward to convert offices in the town centre into three flats, and signboards could be replaced with a digital screen at a fuel station in Caversham.

New street art mural (PL/26/0351)
A new street art mural is due to be created at the start of Garrard Street in the town centre, which has been hit with graffiti.
The Station Road Development Company applied for approximately 15 metres of wall to be covered in art containing a mix of cultural and artistic murals and sponsored commercial advertising.
Planning officer Jonathan Markwell judged the art installation to be compliant with council policies.
There is an existing mural in Station Road advertising visit-reading.com.
Conversion of offices into flats in the town centre (PL/26/0499 and PL/26/0498)
Progress is being made on the conversion of offices into three one-bed flats in Cross Street.
The street is characterised by small shops, with the new flats being created above the Omeera beauty salon.
The building owner applied for the conversion not to have to comply with BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) standards, and details of the bin management plan.
Both of these were approved by the council’s planning department on June 8.
Replacement of paper sign with digital screen at fuel station (PL/26/0696)
The company that owns the Leander Service Station next to the Traveller’s Rest in Caversham has applied to replace paper-based advertising with a digital screen.
The fuel station in Henley Road stocks BP fuel with a Londis forecourt.
The plan involves two existing boards and an oversized Costa Coffee cup with a 2,400 mm to 1,230 mm digital screen.
Progress for entrance lodge at private school (PL/26/0694)
Progress is being made to create an entrance lodge inside the main gates of Leighton Park School in Shinfield Road.
The private school won permission to create an entrance lodge in April this year.
Recently, it won approval for the materials that will be used on the new lodge.
A CGI shows the building being made out of white render with timber-effect cladding.
