FOUND: Police appeal to find 78-year-old after he leaves RBH

He is thought to be on foot, and doesn't have his bus pass on him

A 78-YEAR-OLD man from Tilehurst has gone missing after leaving the Royal Berkshire Hospital earlier today, and police are appealing for help to find him.

Eric left the Craven Road healthcare centre at around 2.45pm on Saturday, February 18.

Thames Valley Police said it is believed he was walking, as it is thought he has his bus pass on him.

He’s known to frequent Kings Road, Reading, Waitrose in Tilehurst and Sainsbury’s Savacentre in Calcot.

Eric is white, around 5ft 6ins tall and balding.

A CCTV image of Eric as he was seen leaving the Royal Berkshire Hospital around 2.45pm on Saturday, February 18He was last seen wearing brown trousers, brown shoes, a hospital pyjama top under a brown jumper and a dark-coloured coat.

He also had a hospital wristband on and had bruising to his face.

Inspector Craig Burchall, based at Newbury police station, said: “We’re concerned for Eric’s welfare and I’m appealing to anybody who knows of his whereabouts to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I am releasing a family image of Eric and also a CCTV image from earlier today.

“If you know where he is, please contact us via our dedicated missing persons portal or call us on 999, quoting incident reference 1356 (18/2).”
